The only Chinese food I will eat. I have tried several other restaurants in the San Fernando Valley, and always come back to City Wok. Nothing like it.

I came here at random. My work friend & I went to grab Starbucks nearby and sat outside next to the restaurant. The food smelled great, so I checked their Yelp, and was quickly convinced. We ordered fried rice & the city wok chicken. The chicken was savory, sweet & salty. The rice was seasoned perfectly. The food was a little pricey for 1 entree & 1 order of rice ($26). Aside from that, the customer service was pretty good. There was a older female server who was very kind and warm to a few of her regular customers. If I'm in the area, I might keep this in mind.

Came here for a quick lunch break. Server attended us very fast, great service. Food came out fast and was delicious!!!! We got the lunch special that was orange chicken. And wow! Very impressed! The server we had was super sweet. This place isn't anything fancy. If you're looking for a quick inexpensive bite with some flavor, I would suggest coming here. Even if you're hungry, and leaving universal studios. But not for a date night. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the bathrooms were not to clean. They could use some attention. Everything else was great!

I was actually surprised, at the lack of stars this place received. I went here on a whim after china wok was closed on holiday. Customer service was very helpful, moved quickly as he was pretty busy with call in orders, get yo self togetha.... The food was wok'd fresh to order. Surprisingly, I had no complaints. Great flavors and sauces. Rice was somewhat strange. More authentic, but much like golden chop stix... that house chicken is fire fire! Dark sweet and caramelized, the noodles were Cho mein, thin and crispy but well done w/veg. Great sweet sour soup for free, impressive.

Every time my girlfriend and I visit, we have an amazing time. We haven't been here in almost two years, but when we worked at Universal Studios, we would come here frequently and always ordered the same dishes: chow mein, sesame beef, and sometimes orange chicken. Today's visit was fantastic. We ordered our usual and were welcomed and treated like celebrities. The server was exceptionally kind and had a wonderful attitude! The restaurant is always clean and tidy, which is something I really appreciate about this place. Today, we got chow mein with chicken, spring rolls, sesame beef, and rice. The portions were generous, and we had leftovers to take home and enjoy later.

Once we arrived we were seated right away, given menus, and brought our drinks. The restaurant was clean & so was the restrooms. Our food came quick and when our food came it was hot and delicious. The restaurant was packed but our waiter did a great job at attending to all customers, we never wanted for anything.

Family and I used to frequent this place for their Chinese Chicken salad, but today I decided to go a different route. I ordered take out. I got the bbq chicken skewers and the Chicken teriyaki bowl. The service was fast and easy. The menu wasn't overwhelming so it was fast to order. The ambience is casual and it's always been a local lunch spot. As always, I'll be back.
